- My research interests are in intelligent and unconventional systems, with an emphasis on evolutionary computation. For example, such techniques can be used to design computer programs of defined scope automatically, traditionally using variants of LISP. I currently have projects in the areas of chemical computing and memristors, and am personally exploring the design of asynchronous programs/logic in dynamic networks through evolution.

- Serrie-justine Chapman attended UWE and completed a sandwich course in CRTs (Computing for real time systems). Since spending her placement year at Infineon technologies she has been employed by them to date. Originally as an automotive semiconductor verification engineer working on a RISC processor called tricore and its periphery system more recently as Infineon MicroControllers Requirements Manager implementing Requirements Engineering in order to achieve Safety Accreditation and improve quality and time to market. She has also been involved in implementing the 'e' language standard and a UML extension supporting 'e' aspect orientation and is also working on defining a standard for a UML subset aimed at automotive, both for Safety and non-Safety.
